POSITION OVERVIEW

Basic Function of the Position:

Reports to Director, Event Communications and supports planning and coordination of communications projects related to CES and client. Provides project facilitation and administrative support (including CES budget)to the Communications team and
interfaces collaboratively across the broader communications and marketing department.

Critical Duties and Responsibilities:
CES Duties:

-Support Director, Event Communications with writing of press releases, social media copy and content creation, media event preparation, and CES on-site needs.
-Support Coordinator in tracking CES budgets and creating monthly reports.
-Assist with the development of CES influencers program.
-Coordinate/support communications plan for influencers and content producers.
-Oversee Communications Coordinator’s on-site responsibilities at the show which:
-Manages all media room work orders for five locations at the LVCC, Mandalay Bay, Venetian/Sands at CES, including on-site execution and liaising with vendors, consultants and media.
-Recruits and put contracts in place for contract staff onsite and process invoices for those contractors,
-Coordinates housing for key media, consultants and vendors attending CES.
-Assists with travel for consultants attending CES, and
-Manages the ordering, shipping and distribution of media giveaways and merchandise at events (e.g. media backpacks).
-Manage communications-related projects, contracts and agreements as assigned.
-Serve as an official CES spokesperson, as needed.
CES Global Events:

-Assist with executing media portions of pre-CES global events in the US, Europe, and possibly Asia.
Client/CES Event Support:

-Provide support, both pre-event and onsite as needed, for other key events including client Tech Week, Digital Patriots Dinner, CES Unveiled, and CT Hall of Fame.
-Coordinate logistics for CT Hall of Fame judging/nominations.
-Manage onsite staff and provide general onsite meeting/event support as assigned.
Client responsibilities:

-Coordinate Communications Committee meetings including document preparation and distribution. Assist Membership with managing and tracking member participants and ensure listserv for Committee is kept up to date.
-Develop meeting appointments and agendas, overseeing all areas of document preparation and distribution and ensuring they are complete and error free.
-Serve as a liaison between vendors and the VP/Communications staff, providing customer service and correspondence reflective of client's standards.
-Process contracts and invoices.
-Other duties as assigned to serve business needs.

Work Experience:
-3-5 years’ senior level communications and project management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Education/Training:
-Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field preferred, or commensurate experience.

Skills/Capabilities/Technical:
-Must be a self-starter with a global perspective who is detail oriented, organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
-Must have knowledge of and ability to successfully use all MS Office applications in day-to-day role. This includes Outlook, Word and Excel.

-Database experience preferred.
-Must be organized and can effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines simultaneously.
-Must be customer/team oriented and possess excellent verbal/written communications skills.

Budget and Staff:
-Provide direction to temporary employees on an as-needed basis on-site at CES
