POSITION OVERVIEW


Basic Function of the Position:

Develop and execute marketing packages for CES and client events to grow sponsorship revenue and help meet sales goals for the organization. This position will work with sales to establish pricing of existing inventory, creating new inventory, coordinate across the organization to implement each opportunity while protecting and strengthening the client and CES brands. This role will collaborate directly with sales to develop exhibitor/sponsor sales materials, close, fulfill, track and report on ROI for our high-value customers.

Critical Duties and Responsibilities: (List the most critical duties and responsibilities of
the position from most critical to least critical.)
1. Manage all promotional opportunities and sponsorships across CES and client events.
This includes but not limited to CES, CES Unveiled, LIT Dinner, client Tech Week, CES
on the Hill and a host of GLA Events throughout the year.
2. Create targeted sponsorship packages and collaborate with sales to develop pricing.
Develop marketing materials for the sales team.
3. Serve as liaison between the marketing, sales, operations and conferences
departments to support the promo opportunities sales efforts.
4. Work closely with the marketing team to identify opportunities, programs and
tactics across all owned marketing channel including but not limited to all client web
properties, email, social media and the CES mobile app.
5. Shared responsibility with sales for the overall satisfaction of sponsors.
6. Create inventory and trafficking system to ensure follow through on items sold.
7. Participate in one-on-one weekly meetings with sales in addition to maintaining an
organized, up-to-date reporting system to communicate sales status.
8. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing
publications; etc.
9. Analyze and report the effectiveness of each sponsorship opportunity sold. Present
the results to customers post event.
10. Perform other duties as required by business needs.

Work Experience:
-5-8 years of marketing experience. Previous team involvement and project leadership. Facilitation skills and strong project management necessary.
-5 years of sponsorship or promo opps sales experience, plus a proven track record of generating increased revenue.
-Previous trade show or conference marketing experience preferred.
-Must have excellent oral, written and personal presentation and communication skills.
-Must be detail/customer service oriented and have the ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously.
-Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
-Must be flexible and willing to travel.
-Working knowledge of, and interest in, CE industry preferred.

Education/Training:
-BS in Marketing, communications or a related field.
-Extensive team experience desired.

Skills/Capabilities/Technical:
-Strong communications skills required to include public speaking to all levels of the organization.
-Ability to work with little supervision.
-Previous project management experience
-Experience using Asana, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or an equivalent project management software tool.
-Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously.
