PRM is pleased to announce our engagement with our client, APA – The Engineered Wood Association to lead the retained search for a newly created position of Director, Building Codes and Standards. This pivotal role is an individual technical contributor responsible for the association’s work in advancing building codes and the development of manufacturing and performance standards for APA members’ products.

The ideal candidate brings a bachelor’s degree in structural or mechanical engineering, wood science or related field and ten+ years of professional industry experience in wood products, timber engineering or construction. Extensive knowledge of wood product or assembly testing, building codes and standards development is required, including deep expertise in the ICC code development process.

This is a newly designed position so we are hopeful the market will help us finalize compensation; however, the expected range is $140,000 - $160,000, plus benefits. When determining pay, we consider your experience, education, and other job-related factors.
